So far, 2020 has been an interesting year to say the least: from a long, hot, burnt summer, to the peculiar reality of spending more time at home, we’ve learnt quickly to adapt and come together as Australians. At Langdon Building, we’d like to assure you that we’re doing everything we can to safely and comfortably assist yours throughout the current challenges.
Our team are following all public health guidelines and, as a precautionary measure, we’ll be respectfully avoiding shaking hands when you book a private tour of a display home. Our display homes are sanitised daily, and we’ve stocked up on hand sanitiser for team and guests when you pop round for a visit.
Below, we’ve compiled a handy (figuratively, of course) list of what we’re doing to help flatten the curve and do our bit during this time.
Visiting our sales offices
We are still open, and our team are currently taking visitors for private display home tours by appointment only. During a visit, we’re operating a ‘touch-free experience’ that ensures we’re all keeping at a safe distance.
Before visiting our displays, please ensure that you answer “No” to the following questions, or refrain from booking an appointment until you have the all-clear.
- Have you returned from international travel within the past 14 days?
- Have you come in contact with someone who has returned from international travel within the past 14 days or has been known to test positive for COVID-19?
- Have felt unwell at any time in the last 14 days?
We’re making sure our Langdon Family is as safe as possible, and that includes you, too!
Visiting our displays from your living room
Wander the halls of the Harmony display in Diggers Rest, then explore the open plan of Imagine 32 in Donnybrook—all without leaving your couch. Whether you’re doing your bit by staying home, immunocompromised, or don’t want to change out of your PJ’s (hey no judgement, we’re in ours!), our virtual tours are ready and waiting to get you inside one of our homes.
We’re working through this together
A lot has happened in a small space of time. So if you’re not looking to make contact right now, we completely understand. We can pick things back up in 3 months, 6 months, or keep moving forward, but at a slower pace. Just let us know what works for you.
We’re conscious that every single one of us is at a different stage, so keep in touch and let us know where you’re at in light of everything. We’d love to hear from you, even if it’s just to say hello. (This social distancing thing is rough on us, too!)

Yes! Our display homes are still open, but we’re accepting visits by appointment only. We’ve implemented new protective measures to ensure the safety of our clients and staff. Our consultants are also available to walk you through your selected display home remotely via Zoom, Skype or FaceTime. To book in for a video tour, please call or use the booking form (link).
Please be advised that we have enacted additional measures to protect the health of our staff and guests:
- A pre-screening process for customers who attend display homes without a confirmed appointment in place.
- We’ve launched touch-free tours (see here for more information).
- Tours are limited to one family group per session to maintain government recommendations on social distancing.
- Home consultants must follow physical social distancing measures while providing friendly and helpful customer service.
- Hand sanitiser is provided for staff and guests, and we’ve increased our regular cleaning schedule.
As a family-run business, Langdon Building understands the pressures that some families are currently experiencing. If you have concerns or your personal circumstances have changed, please contact your Prestart Consultant for a confidential discussion on your options.
Our Inspiration Studio and Head Office is open during normal business hours. As we are concerned about client and staff safety, we have put new protective steps in place for your visit. These include:
o A pre-screening process for people coming into the office.
o Hand sanitiser is readily available for staff and guests.
o Product demonstration by our staff will comply with our no-contact policy.
o We’ve increased our regular cleaning throughout the day.
Currently, the COVID-19 situation is not impacting construction. Our team have been working closely with our suppliers regarding availability of products from COVID-19 affected countries to avoid delays in the completion of our homes.
At time of writing, there are no known product or material supply issues. We monitor our supply chain daily, and will notify our customers immediately if the situation changes and impacts the completion of homes.
The original completion timeframes for existing builds have not been impacted. However, as we are required to follow government restrictions, we will update our customers if these restrictions affect our timelines.
